In 2013, the total energy demand per capita was 1.72 tonnes of oil per person. With a population of 29.72 million, imagine the total energy consumption of our country. This immense gap in our energy consumption presses on our need to turn to renewable energy, and to maximise the efficiency of our current energy systems. Here to speak to us about renewable energy and its importance is Gurmit Singh, Chairman of CETDEM.
