Preserving Batu Caves

Batu Caves is not only an important religious site for the Hindu community and an iconic tourism site for visitors, but the limestone caves - which are believed to be over 400 million years old -- are also home to rare species of biological and ecological life forms.
The recent revelation of the renovation being carried out to the temple is causing worry among conservationists and we find out why from Surin Suksuwan, the Secretary of the Malaysian Cave and Karst Conservancy.
