Malaysia's Renewable Energy Game Plan

The Pakatan Harapan government in its election manifesto previously pledged to increase renewable energy from the current two per cent, to 20 per cent by 2025 to 2030, and make renewable energy affordable and accessible in Malaysia. The Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC) have recently launched several programmes and announced policy changes all geared towards making this a reality, and we find out more about their game plan from YB Rajiv Rishyakaran, who is a special officer to the MESTECC Minister, YB Yeo Bee Yin.
