Safety of Hillslope Developments

Hills are sensitive ecosystems and prone to environmental hazards such as soil erosion and landslides occurring naturally or when the landform is disturbed. Yet there are so many hillslope developments around the Klang Valley alone, and among them, some notable collapses too.

Is the problem not a case of hillslope developments, but just the wrong kind of hillslope developments?

We discuss this and more with Lim Teck Wyn, the Technical Director of Resource Stewardship Consultants Sdn Bhd (RESCU).
