Connecting Dots and Beats

Our producer met with the musicians in a classroom, shortly after a student recital. Yon Nian Shee is a music teacher in an international school. Still feeling the performance buzz the musicians talked about their own upcoming recital--with only percussion instruments and a piano--although they have invited another similar pair to join them in Bartok’s ‘Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion’. The musicians talked not only about themselves but also about contemporary music and its appeal.
