Be Fit Malaysians #13: Powerlifting

Earlier this year, national para-athlete Bonnie Bunyau Gustin lifted 207kg in the Men's 65kg category at the Nur-Sultan 2019 World Para Powerlifting Championships in Kazakhstan. The 20-year-old won the gold medal to become a world champion, and in the process set the new junior world record. His victory also meant that he has secured a place in the Tokyo Paralympics next year. Joining Dr Harjeet Singh on his monthly series is Koay Qun Ling, a powerlifter and founder of Malaysia Powerlifting Alliance to discuss the sport of powerlifting.
