Doctor in the House: Bullying Does Not Belong In The Workplace

The Healthcare Work Culture Improvement Task Force released its report last week, which was aimed at reviewing the Ministry of Health’s work culture. One of the task force’s findings was that bullying does occur among Ministry of Health staff, not only to house officers, but also across all levels of staff within the ministry. Dr Eugene Tee, Associate Professor in Psychology, joins us to unpack the psychology behind bullying in the workplace - why these behaviours persist, what are the effects on victims, and how organisations can prevent bullying in the workplace.
