Three weeks into the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme, private hospitals are now calling for the government to allow them to procure their own supplies of COVID vaccines and run a parallel immunisation programme. Will this help us reach our target of 80% herd immunity earlier? Or will this lead to further health inequities between the rich and the poor in our country?
