We bring the latest in health news. Malaysia today became the first country in the World Health Organization Western Pacific Region to be certified as having eliminated mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis. Minister of Health Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad is at the 69th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Western Pacific in Manila, Philippines, to receive the certificate of elimination. We speak to Dr Lo Ying-Ru, WHO Representative to Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Singapore, on how Malaysia achieved this and what it means for our fight against HIV.
