Generational Endgame Bill: Will It Be All Smoke And No Fire?

On 26 May, Deputy Health Minister Lukanisman Awang Sauni confirmed that the Cabinet had approved the tabling of the Control of Smoking Product for Public Health Bill 2023 in the current Parliamentary session. On the eve of World No Tobacco Day, we speak to Dr Helmy Haja Mydin, Consultant Respiratory Physician & Special Adviser to the Minister of Health, to find out how this proposed bill will tackle the Generational Endgame proposal, as well as the potential spike in vaping among children and teenagers, following the delisting of liquid nicotine from the Poisons Act 1952 on 31st March.
