Healthcare Heroes #3: Sabah AIDS Awareness Group Association (SAGA)

In conjunction with Merdeka and Malaysia Day 2022, Health & Living features healthcare heroes - individuals and organisations on a mission to make healthcare accessible to marginalised communities across Malaysia. One of these communities are people living with HIV, who continue to face discrimination today, but there are grassroots organisations working to eliminate that stigma, such as the Sabah AIDS Awareness Group Association. Their founder and president, Dr Zaiton Yahaya, joins us on the show to share more about the work that they do in Sandakan, Sabah, in raising awareness and getting treatment to those who need it most.
