Our joints are important when it comes to carrying out daily activities. So when it starts to get swollen, stiff or inflamed, one thing that comes to mind is rheumatoid arthritis. While a cure is out of the question, can we preserve the patient’s quality of life? And are we getting closer to understanding why the immune system attacks itself? We speak to Dr Sarina Kempe a consultant rheumatologist and physician from Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara, about this.
