How Alcohol Leads to Liver Disease

Yesterday, the Road Transport (Amendment) Bill 2020 was tabled in Parliament, to address reckless and dangerous driving along with driving under the influence of drugs as well as alcohol. Apart from drink driving-related fatalities, alcohol consumption also leads to other harmful and potentially life-threatening consequences, which don’t often make the headlines. Dr Saravana Kumar Karunanathy, Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist from Parkcity Medical Centre, joins us to discuss alcohol-related liver disease.
