Heart disease is a leading cause of death in Malaysia, and statistics are higher for men compared to women. But the incidence of heart disease in women increases after menopause, and the symptoms can manifest differently between men and women. We’ll be speaking to Dr Haizal Haron Kamar, consultant cardiologist from Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara to find out what this means for the prevention and treatment of heart disease in women.
