New research by Australian scientists has shown that whooping cough (pertussis) bacteria are evolving and becoming smarter in surviving in a human body, even with vaccination. We ask consultant paediatrician and neonatologist Dato’ Dr Musa Mohd Nordin about the dangers of whooping cough becoming a superbug, and whether there are new vaccines to counter this.
