Finding out you have a serious or life-threatening illness can turn your life upside-down. Coming to terms with the diagnosis and learning what it takes to manage your condition can take a toll on your mental health as well. On this month’s episode of Mind Matters - as we lead up into Pink October, we speak to Naliza Fahro-Rozi, breast cancer survivor and vice president of the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia and Raja Farhana Raja Hadayadanin, clinical psychologist, on why we need to also put a spotlight on the mental health of those who have just received a cancer diagnosis.
