Mind Matters: SPM Is Over - Now To Stress About The Rest Of Your Life

With SPM done and dusted for the 2022-2023 graduating year, another batch of 18-year-olds stands on the cusp of adulthood, making decisions about studies and careers that will determine their path for the next several years. This brings with it no small measure of stress and anxiety, with pressure and expectations everywhere they turn. To commemorate World Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Day on 23 April, we speak to Alan Yong, Associate Counsellor, and Noor Insyira Binti Mokhtar, Counselor & Centre Coordinator, from Thrive Well, to look at why it’s important for young people to understand their strengths, personalities and emotions, so that they are mentally prepared to go through this phase of life.
