Mind the (Health) Gap #2: The Long Wait for Specialist Care

Have you had to wait weeks or months for an appointment with a specialist in the public healthcare system? Then probably have to wait hours on the day of your appointment as well? In the second episode of our Mind the Health Gap series, we explore how this affects patients’ access to specialist care and thus their health outcomes, as well as solutions to develop a new cohort of specialists in Malaysia.
