Pandemic Preparedness #2: A Long-Term Plan To Survive The Pandemic

As Malaysians wait for the COVID-19 vaccines to be rolled out, we can’t ignore the reality that we still have to live with COVID-19 throughout 2021, if not longer. But with the number of new cases easily reaching record highs, are our current strategies sufficient to flatten this gigantic third wave? What would a long-term plan to survive the pandemic while balancing between the lives of Malaysians and the state of the economy look like? Former Minister of Health and Chair of the Selangor Task Force on COVID-19 Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad joins us to share insights on the lessons to learn from the outbreak in Selangor and what it’ll take to get Malaysia back on track to containing the virus.
