Health News Digest: Physician’s Pledge vs LGBT

We bring the latest in health news. A Nur Illyani Mohamed Nawawi, who claimed to be a physician, insinuated that blood from LGBT donors are suspect, and further linking them to increased HIV infection rates. Her social media post, which has since been taken down by Facebook for violating community guidelines sparked intense debate. Some Malaysian physicians have taken to social media to reiterate that the Physician's Pledge stated that doctors should not discriminate against a patient's social identity. We find out how such discrimination affect access to health services.
