Severe bleeding after childbirth, also known as post-partum haemorrhage, continues to be a leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide, including here in Malaysia, despite advances in medicine. So how can we stop PPH - a treatable condition - from continuing to kill women at what is supposed to be one of the happiest moments in their lives? Here to delve into that is Prof Dr Jamiyah Hassan, consultant obstetrician & gynaecologist and fetomaternal specialist.
