The medical profession isn’t just about doctors and nurses. There is a large and diverse group of science-based professionals, called allied health professionals, who are involved in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of diseases, and other roles that support the healthcare system. However, their vital place in healthcare is often under-recognised and poorly regulated. We look at how allied health professionals are looking to strengthen their role in public health.
