Scavenging for Body Parts

Traumatic injuries can happen at any time, and in some instances body parts need to be reconstructed with tissue from other sources. Spare-part surgery is a procedure that “scavenges” useable tissue from damaged body parts that would otherwise be discarded. Here to tell us more about how this procedure can restore function and appearance to mutilated limbs is Dr Rajesh Singh, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.
