Doctor in the House: Antibiotic Awareness Week 2017

Dr George Lee returns to discuss the latest medical news. Expect deep insights delivered with generous humour. For World Antibiotic Awareness week (13-19 November), we look at how the rampant misuse of antibiotics has resulted in increasing drug resistance. According to our Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, by 2050, infections by antimicrobial resistant superbugs could kill an extra 10 million people each year worldwide, overtaking cancer. What can we do to stop this trend before we are unable to treat even simple infectious diseases?
