The Knees 101

Dr Tai Cheh Chin, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Orthopaedic Specialist Centre (OSC)

The Knees 101

We go about our daily routines, such as getting out of bed, waiting for public transportation, and cooking meals, without giving a second thought to the fact that we are constantly putting pressure on our knees. On a daily basis, our knees are constantly absorbing the shocks of the movements involving our lower limbs - these joints are prone to wear and tear over time, as well as injuries during sports and exercise. How do we take better care of our knees, and what should we do when aches, creaks and pains develop? Consultant orthopaedic surgeon Dr Tai Cheh Chin, from OSC, gives us a 101 on the knees.
