The Powerful Role of Exercise in Cancer

Exercise is a powerful word when it comes to cancer. Physical activity has been linked to lowered risk of several types of cancer, and is even able to help cancer survivors cope with their treatment regimes and recover with better quality of life. Dr Nur Fadhlina Abdul Satar, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Assoc Prof Dr Mohd Nahar Azmi Mohamed, Sports Medicine Physician, and Rosalind Tan, a breast cancer survivor and secretary of the UMMC Candy Girls Support Group, join us to share their different perspectives of how exercise plays a role in cancer control, how to embark on safe exercise routines, and how it has helped in a patient’s personal journey.
