Phase 3 clinical trials for the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine (Coronavac) in children under 12 began in Malaysia at the end of October. We speak to Dr Azanna Ahmad Kamar, Consultant Neonatologist, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, to address parents’ concerns about vaccine trials being carried out in such young children, and what questions they should ask, in order to make an informed decision.
