Across the world 290 million people are unaware that they are living with viral hepatitis. To commemorate World Hepatitis Day, we speak to senior consultant hepatologist Dr Tan Soek Siem for updates on how Malaysia is doing towards eliminating viral hepatitis, particularly hepatitis B and C, and what strategies should be put in place to achieve that goal.
