World Malaria Day: Ready to Beat Malaria

You may think of malaria as a disease from our colonial past, but it is still well in our midst today. In 2016, there were 216 million cases of malaria worldwide, causing over 400,000 deaths. In conjunction with World Malaria Day today, Prof Datin Dr Indra Vythilingam from the Department of Parasitology, University of Malaya, tells us about the progress made in fighting this disease and new challenges that have arisen.
