Academic Freedom and Student Activism

One upside of the many on-going investigations and cases involving the Sedition Act is that it generated a lot of public debate on freedom of expression. One movement which came out of this development is Solidarity4AzmiSharom, a Universiti Malaya-led project that has the backing of the university’s Academic Staff Association and Student Association. Dr. Lee Hwok-Aun and Vince Tan, who are coordinating the campaign, came on the show to explain their cause.
