Binge Eating

Eating is part and parcel of Malaysia culture - we eat to socialise, to entertain and to celebrate major holidays - but are we overdoing it? Less understood than anorexia and bullimia, binge eating disorder will soon receive an official diagnosis in the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder (DSM), the standard reference book for mental health professionals, scheduled to be released later this month in the United States. Neuro-psychologist Dr. Nivashinie Mohan explains more.
