Cost of Retirement

The UN estimates that Malaysia will be an ageing country in about 10 years, where 15% of the population is 60 years old and above. With cost of living rising and more of us living longer, EPF also announced that more than three-quarters of Malaysians currently do not have enough to live comfortably once they retire. In this interview that was originally broadcasted in November last year, Hash Piperdy, CEO of Mercer, shares some insights on what can be done about this impending retirement crisis. Mercer publishes the annual Global Pension Index.
