Feminist Fridays #61: Post GE14: Okay Ladies, Now Let's Get In Formation

As the new Pakatan Harapan-led government gets cracking on running and reforming the country, we remember that one of the main thrusts of the Pakatan manifesto was to take care of the welfare, health and rights of women. One person who has long been working in those areas of advancing gender equality is Mary Shanthi Dairiam, the Founding Director of the International Women's Rights Action Watch - Asia Pacific, and a former committee member of the UN’s Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). She joins us to discuss what she's hoping to see materialise in the areas of gender equality and the advancement of women's rights, with the new government in place.
