Sir Michael Barber is a leading authority on government delivery. In 2001, he founded the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU) in No10 Downing Street, which he ran until 2005. In this role he was responsible for ensuring delivery of the government's domestic policy priorities across health, education, crime reduction, criminal justice, transport and immigration.

Currently the Chief Education Advisor to Pearson, Sir Michael has advised governments in more than 50 countries on the delivery of public services, and is the author of “How to Run a Government: So That Citizens Benefit and Taxpayers Don’t Go Crazy." We find out more.
