International Day of Peace 2022: Understanding Racism in Malaysia

International Day of Peace 2022: Understanding Racism in Malaysia

It’s the 21st of September, which means it’s International Day of Peace, according to the UN. The 2022 theme for the International Day of Peace is “End racism. Build peace.” As stated on the UN website, “this means working towards a world free of racism and racial discrimination. A world where compassion and empathy overcome suspicion and hatred. It requires the building of societies where all members feel that they can flourish.” In light of that, we discuss racism in Malaysia and what we can do about it, with Jason Wee of Architects of Diversity.
