Improving Lives, One Toilet at a Time

Isabel Medem co-founded X-Runner in 2011 to bring a waterless toilet system to the more than nine million Peruvians who lack access to adequate sanitation. With the goal of ultimately transforming the lives of 72 million people living without toilets across Latin America, we speak to Isabel about the public health threats posed by poor sanitation, the taboos of working in the toilet business and why such a basic right remains elusive to so many in 2016.

Isabel Medem was a speaker at the Leadership Energy Summit Asia (LESA) 2016.
