British economist John Kay is a visiting professor at the London School of Economics, a Financial Times columnist and author of most recently "Other People's Money: The Real Business of Finance," which argues that most of the wealth generated by the financial industry today are illusory and does not benefit real businesses. Professor Kay speaks to us about why so much trading goes on, why it is so profitable and what is the purpose of it all.
