The news of Malaysian economist and former civil servant Dr. Gnanathurai Nagarajah being killed in a suicide bombing at a restaurant in Kabul on Jan 17 was tragic and reminded Malaysians about the ongoing war and violence in Afghanistan. Two individuals who have spent time working in Afghanistan tells us what it is like living in a conflict zone.
