Adoption and Reintegration

One thing that many of us might have taken for granted is the privilege of growing up in a loving family. However, not every child enjoys this opportunity. As we celebrate Universal Children’s Day this Sunday, Datin Elya Adnan and Puan Nor Aishah Osman from OrphanCARE Foundation shed light on a practice which can drastically improve the lives of many children - adoption. We talk about the challenge of getting more couples to consider adopting, especially older kids, as well as reintegrating children from orphanages back into their birth families, a process known as deinstitutionalisation.
