Giant pandas Fu Wa and Feng Yi arrived at Zoo Negara to much fanfare last May, an act of panda diplomacy capping 40 years of bilateral relations between Malaysia and China. With the panda conservation centre set to open to the public this Friday, we speak to Dr. Paul Jepson about the efficacy of panda diplomacy.
