Locking Up Refugee Children in Detention Centres

Each year, hundreds of refugee children, some as young as babies, are detained in immigration detention centres for months on ends in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions without enough food, clean water and medical care. What are the impact on children, especially if they are separated from their parents? This year, Voice of the Children and Suara Kanak-kanak organized a youth camp where 23 Malaysian and refugee children spend a weekend together to give them a chance to learn about each other's lives.
