Shivaji Das is the author of “Journeys with the Caterpillar: Travelling through the Islands of Flores and Sumba” and “Sacred Love: Erotic Art in the Temples of Nepal.” His most recent book is “Angels by the Murky River,” which documents his travels across six years across 16 countries in 31 stories. He talks about finding time to write while holding a day job as a management consultant, whether he thinks books like ‘Angels” exoticize poverty, as well as his thoughts on development.
