Much has been said about what can be done to uplift the bottom 40 percent of households in Malaysia. While a lot of emphasis were placed on social and economic policies, the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs decided to focus on education and conducted a national survey to discover what the poorest Malaysians seek for their children’s education. The paper’s authors Tamanna Patel and Sri Murniati joins me in the studio to discuss their findings.
