On the night of November 21st last year, a wave of public demonstrations and protests erupted in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, demanding for closer European integration. The sustained civil unrests culminated in the ousting of then-president, Viktor Yanukovych. Now that Russia has formally annexed the Crimean peninsula, what does this mean for Ukraine going forward?
