Feminist Fridays #83: Why Aren't Women Role Models to Men?

Last year, when news that the 13th Dr. Who would be played by a woman first made headlines, the usual complaints ensued, but it took a different turn when a former male actor who played the role in the 1980's deemed the change a loss of a good role model for boys. This begs the question: can't boys have a female role model? And can’t girls have a male one? We discuss this and more with Asha Ganesan, a PhD Candidate at the School of Psychology, Faculty of Science, The University of Sydney.
