The Life and Legacy of Dato Khatib Koyan

Dato Khatib Koyan was the Penghulu of Gombak from 1889 to 1925 and is remembered today for building the Madrasah Al-Rahmaniah mosque located on the road named after him. Two of his direct decedents Yussof and Rain join us to discuss his legacy as one of KL’s prominent Minangkabau Malay leaders’ in the early 20th century.
