Existing laws in Malaysia that require healthcare workers to report “illegal immigrants” to the authorities, have been a barrier for many undocumented migrants seeking critical early Covid-19 screenings. This has put not only themselves in danger, but society at large too. We discuss why such laws need to be urgently repealed, for the benefit of all.
