The Daily Digest: Indian Science(fiction) Congress?

As published in an NPR report and an SCMP article, some speakers in the Indian Science Congress made several unscholarly claims. These claims include how an ancient demon-king had planes and that India had been making test-tube babies for thousands of years. How did a prestigious science platform end up spouting pseudoscientific ideas? We speak to the journalists behind the articles.

Correction: It was Sohini C's South China Morning Post article that referenced a press clarification about why one of the speakers might have told mythological stories around science, and not the NPR article.

Produced by: Tina Carmillia and Raghu Sharma
