Creation Of Cashless Society Will Stamp Out Corruption - Dr M

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said a cashless society meant that payments would be made through electronic payment platforms. “The government is thinking of ways to introduce a cashless society. When we use cash, sometimes it is used for corruption among others. When we introduce a cashless (system), it will make it difficult for them to hide and give cash bribes to anyone as everything is recorded. Each transaction is recorded in the bank among others so that we know who gives and receives and receives cash inducements.”
