“Checkout with Instagram” launches in the U.S. today with more than 20 top brands, opening a whole new revenue stream for the social media platform. Now the 130 million people who tap IG’s product tags on shopping posts will be able to buy those items without leaving the app, thanks to stored payment info. Is it time to say, RIP wallet?
